Morgan was a featured actress on the AIDS prevention and education video Safe Sex for Men and Women. The profits from this film were donated in part to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the main force behind numerous fund-raising efforts for the disease. Morgan also gave a speech to an Congressional special committee that focused on AIDS education. She sits on the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop's former deputy surgeon general requested her from time to time to be his substitute during AIDS awareness activities. She also hosted the AIDS Awareness Special with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her several times on AIDS during Nightline. Morgan was nominated for an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In the spring she co-starred alongside Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams were also on the show. Morgan's next production took Morgan to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also a part of a psychological suspense drama that was exclusively produced by USA Network. This thriller received the highest ever ratings for that network.
